They genuinely do these better

- Canva Print, so the same design can become a physical card without leaving the product.
- Collaboration, brand kits and team features that matter if more than one person is working on the design.
Choose Canva when you want to design something and you know how you will send it: a poster, a social post, a printed card, or an invitation image you will drop into a group chat yourself. Nothing here designs better. Choose Easy Vite when you want the invitation to do a job: reach a specific list, give each guest their own link, come back with a headcount that separates adults and children, and chase the people who have not replied. The best answer for many people is both, and it costs nothing.

The gap between these two products is easy to miss because the first ninety per cent of the work looks the same. You pick a template, you type the date, you make it look nice.
Then Canva gives you a PNG. From that point onwards everything is manual: you post it into a group chat, people reply with a mixture of thumbs-up emoji, messages saying maybe, and silence. Two weeks later you are scrolling back through the chat trying to work out how many chairs to borrow.
Easy Vite's version of that last step is a dashboard. Every guest has a private link, every reply carries a yes, no or maybe with a count of adults and a count of children, the totals are calculated, and the people who have not answered are a filtered list you can message in one action.
That is the whole difference, and it is bigger than it sounds at the point where you are choosing a font.
Canva out-designs us and that is fine
There is no useful version of this page that claims otherwise. Canva has more templates, more fonts, more photographs, more illustration, better layout tools and AI features that Easy Vite has no equivalent of.

Using both, in detail
Design the invitation in Canva at a portrait aspect ratio. Export as PNG at a high resolution.
Create the event on Easy Vite and upload the file as the invitation. It becomes the card that comes out of the envelope.
One useful detail: Easy Vite runs text detection on uploads. If your Canva design already has the date and venue written on it, Easy Vite leaves its own text layers switched off so nothing is printed twice. If you would rather it added a line, you can turn them back on.
Then add guests, or share one link, and let the replies come back structured. Total cost: nothing, unless you used a Canva Pro element.
The free tier question
Canva Free is genuinely usable, which is worth saying because plenty of design tools call something free that is really a trial.
The friction appears when a template you like contains a Pro photograph, font or element. You cannot export it free; you have to swap the element out or upgrade. That is a reasonable model, and it also means the phrase free template does not always survive contact with the export button.
Easy Vite has nothing locked at all. Every design, every font, every effect and every feature is available, because there is no paid tier for anything to sit behind.
The correction problem, again
An image cannot be corrected once it is in a group chat. If the start time was wrong, you post a second image and hope everyone scrolls.
A Easy Vite invitation is a live page. Edit the event and every guest sees the corrected version, including the ones who opened it last week, and you can send an update to everyone or only to the people who have not replied.
For a small gathering this hardly matters. For eighty people across three group chats, it is the difference between a correction and a rumour.
